Giants of the world today
Dear children,
I have placed a Powerpoint slideshow on 'Giants of the world today' in our class's resource website under the 'English' folder.
Make sure you go there to have a look! You will be fascinated by the different types of giants found there.
I have also placed a story called 'The Hungry Giant Soup' under the same 'English' folder. Go there to read the story!

By the way, I have received problems about pasting your answers for the Math puzzle. I will try to sort out the problem as soon as possible and inform all of you again in class. The answer for the last Math puzzle is 33. Only Shashank has got the correct answer. Well done Shashank!

Math Puzzle Time!
Dear children,
Here is a math question for all of you to solve:
I am a 2-digit number. After you subtract 10 from me, add 7 to me, subtract 15 from me, add 19 to me, subtract 12 from me and then add 8 to me, I have become 30. What number am I at first?
When school reopens after the holidays, I will draw lots to pick 3 students who have sent me the correct answers. Each of them will win a mystery prize each!
How to send me your answer:
(1) Click on 'Comments'.
(2) Type in your name and answer in the white box.
(3)Click on 'Comment as' - Open ID. Type in your name in the box 'Open ID URL'. Then click 'Continue'.
(4) Then click 'Post Comment'.

Holiday Homework
Dear children,
Please make sure you have completed the following homework/tasks before coming to school on the following Monday, 23 March.
(1) Do 5 book reviews.
(2) Do journal writing 'What did I do during the March holidays' from Monday to Friday.
(3) Do Math problem sums worksheets.
(4) Do Math revision worksheets.
(5) Do LEAD portal digital homework. For Math, please lick on 'Primary 1 Mathematics 2009' and 'Dr Series'.
(6) Sign Math file. (on the 'Subtraction' Math Test)
(7) Sign English file. (on the cover of 'To Town' learning sheets)
(8) Learn the words on the word list. Make sure you know how to pronounce all the words.
I have forgotten to count the stars awarded for each group today. I will do that on Monday when Term 2 reopens. Make sure you check the class blog regularly for updates as I will be putting up puzzles for all of you to solve soon.

During the March holidays, I will be sending digital homework to your Lead Portal accounts for you to do. I have showed you in class today on how to log into Lead Portal. The website is www.lead.com.sg (Just click on the link)
Login ID: (Your own BC number that starts with T002.....) It can be found on your
first page of your handbook.
School ID: CCPS (in capital letters)
Password: learning (in small letters)
The homework will be given under 'My assignments'. Please do not try to change your password as you may find it hard to remember it in the future. Use the password that is given above. I will give all of you more instructions as to when to start doing your Lead Portal homework.
